Afternoon: a walk into town to discover a few sites related to the history and the politics of remembrance in Évreux, such as the statue of the Renaissance of Évreux, long forgotten locally;

Gilles Osmont, President of association Odon-cote 112 allowed the group to be part of the hommage to David Mylchreest
The mayor enjoyed asking 2 pupils from Darmstadt to translate his speech in German; His Excellency the German Ambassador seems to enjoy the exercice
Several partners and supporters of the project were kind enough to be there: left, Douglas McCreath (Secretary of the Cameronians' association, who came to Évreux for the occasion!) and Mme Drevillon (collège J. Jaurès), Michèle Madère, daughter of the Résistant Albert Madère who died in deportation, and Mme Noé (below, right), M. Thierry Fayolle director of the local branch of Gibert bookshops, who boosted the project in 2017, and Mme Jeanne Perrin (President de AMOPA 27 - Palmes académiques)
Wednesday 7 June:
Visiting the Mémorial des civils in Falaise (the first museum dedicated to civilians);
Discovering issues of memories at the Canadian and Polish War cemeteries (Cintheaux, where Mr Jaeger, mayor and President of Comité Juno-Normandie received the group, then Urville);
